When you paste an image into an AI chat, the whole image is processed as input — typically on the order of a thousand or more tokens for a screenshot, depending on the model and size. The text inside it is usually a small fraction of that. ClipEye OCRs the screenshot the moment you copy it, so you paste clean, trimmed text instead. The extraction itself runs locally and costs zero tokens.
English and Portuguese, via the native Windows OCR engine. ClipEye helps you install the language packs from Settings. The app interface is available in English and Portuguese and follows your Windows language automatically.
It doesn't have to — they coexist. ClipEye's overlay opens with Ctrl+Shift+V (configurable) and adds OCR, real search, retention rules, and pinning on top of what Win+V offers.
Add your password manager (or any app) to the exclusion list and ClipEye will ignore everything copied from it. You can also delete any clip individually or wipe the history entirely — it's all local, so deleting it really deletes it.
